Rev FR Jonathan Mmadueke was born into the family of Late Mr. Peter and Mrs Philomina Mmadueke of Uhudim, Uhuobo Okija in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State. He is the 4th child of his parents.

Early Life: FR Jonathan began his primary education at Woliwo Primary School I Onitsha from 1989 to 1995. With a burning zeal to become a priest hethen proceeded for his Secondary education at St Paul’s Seminary Ukpor and All Hallows Seminary Onitsha all in Anambra State Nigeria for his Secondary. He was however sent to Our Lady Queen of Heaven Parish Amichi and St Anthony of Padua Parish, Igbariam for one year apostolic work as a minor seminarian and later to St Pius X Spiritual Year Seminary for one year spiritual training in spiritual life.

Having been found worthy to further his training, he was sent to Pope John Paul Major Seminary, Awka where he obtained a bachelor degree in philosophy from 2003 – 2007 and also obtained a bachelor of Art’s degree in Theology from Tansi Major Seminary Onitsha from 2008 – 2012.

During the course of his priestly formation, he had apostolic experiences in different places and was elevated to the following ecclesiastical position: Lectorate 17th December 2010, Acolyte – 17th December 2011. He had his Diaconate ordination on 17th December 2011 and finally ordained a priest of God in on 14th July 2012.
In the social circle, he is a great lover of football, table tennis, enjoys reading, travelling, making friends, and he is motivator. Three years after his ordination, he assumed office as the Administrator of the Hospital having taken over from his predecessor; Rev. Sr. Petronilla Umunnakwe of the Immaculate heart of Mary Mother of Christ Congregation.

The hospital under his leadership has enjoyed all round transformation both in human development, healthcare service delivery, infrastructural development, spiritual and moral care our ofpatients etc. This is seen in his indefatigable way of actualizing the mission of the hospital which is to provide excellent health care and compassionate services to the poor as the hospital’s own part of the Divine Mandate of Evangelization through healing.
However, through his untiring efforts, he is gradually actualizing his vision of making the hospital the first choice in healthcare for our teaming populace. He has turned the hospitalinto a world class hospital that will continue to provide a continuum of high-quality, cost-effective services that will improve the health status of those he serves.
Rev Fr. Jonathan Mmadueke just like Christ, has given it all in championing the course of making savinglife his priority. We thank God for choosing him to work in His vineyard irrespective of his unworthiness. No wonder, his motto is: “It is not that we are competent to claim anything to ourselves, our competence comes from Him who has made us ministers of the new covenant.” Our Sufficiency comes from God(2Cor 3:5- 6).
